In Úlfur Karlsson’s energetic and autonomous universe characters are all entangled in complex compositions. The strong and vivid colors are often spiced up by texts with socio-political undertones. With his neo-expressive insistent style, the intensity radiates towards you, a story unfolds almost taken out of a script for a film or a comic strip. Karlsson finds inspiration in current issues such as politics, environment and living conditions, but at the same time the works also contain hope and positivity.
